NEOART photography

Interview NEOART

1. Who will actually be shooting my wedding?
Some larger studios do not allow you to select your photographer. Remember, your photographer will spend more time with you on your wedding day than almost anyone else. We feel this is an extremely personal process and always introduce you to your main photographer. We send two professional photographers to ensure the highest quality and coverage of your day. Jason, Neil or Ela will be your main photographer on your wedding day.
2. Where will my prints and albums be processed?
Miller’s Professional Imaging processes all of our prints on Kodak professional Endura paper using a 4-color CMYK press. We know your wedding photographs will become a treasured family heirloom so we only use the highest quality printing process. We color-correct, crop and examine each image for correct lighting and tonal balance by hand. We custom design every album and, once completed, the layout is forwarded to our printer in Italy.
3. Do you take formal portraits or photojournalistic shots?
We invented a new style in photography called NEOART. This style implements the mixture of photojournalism, traditional and fashion photography. Characteristics of a NEOART style are:
Each photograph is a piece of art in itself and has to be original by implementing out-of-the-box ideas. Being in the right place at the right time and understanding the situation as it unfolds. This helps us create the candid photos while covering the entire day. Carefully posed photographs of the key moments while using a planned "shot list", which means you'll get all the important images.
4. What type of equipment do your photographers use?
Each photographer is shooting digitally using a minimum of 12 megapixels and has at least 2 backup cameras. So we have at least a four camera system at every wedding.
5. Do you use RAW or JPG images to capture your images?
We capture all of your images in RAW format. This means each image will be rich, vibrant and full of color. The RAW file is a new digital technology that allows the most information to be stored in an image and this technology is replacing the JPG file. One raw file picture is about 14MB one jpg file is about 1.5MB
6. Do you know your camera settings?
Make sure your photographer is taking photos on manual camera settings. When they photograph on any other setting, they are letting the camera decide how the photos will look leaving the photographer with little to no control over the final image. All NEOART photographers use manual camera setting.
7. Can we purchase the digital files?
Yes. They can be included in your package or purchased separately.
8. What is the investment?
Begins at $3,500
9. When will my pictures be ready?
It takes about 2-3 weeks to process wedding images. We spend about 20 hours working on your photographs making sure each image has the perfect lighting, color, adding digital enhancements and converting the RAW files to jpgs. Your wedding photos will be organized by category and our favorite images will be given to you in a slideshow with the song of your first dance playing in the background.
10. Best advice?
Our best advice would be to enjoy your special day. The day will go by very fast so choosing the right photography studio will ensure the day will not just be a blur.
